Deborah L. Burt, FACHE Principal

With over 25 years experience in healthcare management in both non-profit and for-profit setting, Deborah brings functional expertise in all aspects of healthcare management to include strategic planning, finance, practice and administrative operations, practice and organizational development including new practice start-up.

Ms. Burt’s diverse background has equipped her with the expertise necessary to serve her clients in the areas of strategic planning and development, new practice start-up, revenue cycle management, contract negotiations, interim management, human resource development, and process & change management.

She has worked extensively pairing functional fit between physicians and health systems to ensure partnership and joint venture success.  Additionally, she has served as mentor for new managers and enjoys staff development.  Prior to starting Phoenix Healthcare Consulting Group, Ms. Burt served as Administrator of Ambulatory Services for Tenet Healthcare/Hilton Head Hospital in Hilton Head, SC where she expanded the primary care network through physician recruitment, new practice start-up, and expanded services.  Additionally, her responsibilities included all areas of financial and operational performance. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, Deborah served as General Internal Medicine Administrator for the Emory Clinic in Atlanta, GA where she successfully turned around under-performing clinics through restructuring and process improvement.  In addition to her clinic duties, she served as a member of the Community Advisory Network for the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and as mentor to students from Rollins who had chosen the management tract for their MPH.

She holds a BA in Business Management and a Master in Science Healthcare Management from Mercer University.  She was awarded Most Outstanding in the Field of Management from Mercer University.  Deborah is a Fellow (board certified in Healthcare Management) of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 

Sharon

Sharon Horesh Bergquist, MD
Advisor

Dr. Bergquist is a board certified Internal Medicine primary care physician at The Emory Clinic and Assistant Professor at the Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine and on the Board of Trustees of Northlake Medical Center in Atlanta.

Her interests focus on innovation and quality in delivery of primary care. She believes in health promotion through prevention, chronic disease management, and patient education. She has been named one of America’s Top Physicians by the Consumer Research Council of America (2004-2007, 2009), and Turknett Leadership Group Woman Leader for the New Millennium (2006). She received a Patient Choice award (2008), awarded nationally to less than 5% of the country’s practicing physicians.

Dr. Bergquist earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard teaching hospital. She is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia and the American College of Physicians, where she is also on the Georgia chapter’s Health and Public Policy Committee.

 

 

 

 

Michael

Michael Putich, CPA Advisor

Michael is a 1988 graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and his CPA Certificate in 1999. Michael has been a member of the Robinson Grant team since 1999 and has held the positions of Senior Accountant, Manager, Principal, Stockholder and is currently the President of Robinson Grant & Co., P.A., Hilton Head, SC. He currently serves as a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs, a Member of the Ohio Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Member of the Community Associations Institute. In the past, he has also served as Board Member for South Carolina Board of Accountancy, President and Treasurer of the Bluffton Rotary Club, Chairman of United Way of the Lowcountry Bluffton Campaign, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary, and Board Member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Association of CPAs, President and Treasurer of the Sea Island Chapter of SCACPAs, Finance Committee Chairman of the Community Associations Institute, and Member, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club.

Kelly is a member of McNair’s healthcare and litigation practice groups. In her practice, Kelly provides strategic guidance through complex regulatory issues. Kelly advises clients in health information technology and privacy law and serves as counsel to the South Carolina Health Information Exchange.  She offers clients practical insight on matters involving HIPAA and HITECH compliance, health information exchanges, electronic medical records, vendor agreements, and data privacy.  She is a frequent author and speaker on health information technology related issues and compliance strategies, including:
